What is Clash Royale?

    Play your hand! Clash Royale is a player-versus-player (PvP) card game available on iOS and Android devices. The game was created by the developers of Supercell and released in 2016. Created by the same developers of Clash of Clans, Clash Royale brings forth strategy in the form of playing cards. Not just any cards, but very magical cards.


What to expect:

    Clash Royale brings playing cards to a whole new level. Using characters from the Clash of Clans game but with a bigger variety, there is a lot to choose from. There are five decks you can create using only eight cards. Choose the deck you want to use and go into an arena where you go one-on-one with a random player from anywhere around the world. On both sides of the arena divided by bridges in the center, there is the main tower, the king tower, and two archer towers. The objective of the game is to destroy the enemy towers, primarily the king tower using your cards within a time limit of three minutes. You or your opponent can start by placing their first card and to avoid letting your towers take damage, a counter card can be played to halt the enemy attack. Each card has a number of elixirs, the resources needed to play the card, at the bottom. Both players have a limit of ten elixir, so it is best to play your cards wisely to avoid giving the enemy the upper hand while your elixir replenishes. If no one has won within the three minutes, an extra minute is given as sudden death, meaning whoever has taken the most damage will lose. The victor will be rewarded with trophies, gold coins, and a chest.

    Chests can be rewarded in different levels from wooden chests, the lowest, to legendary, the highest which are extremely rare. Within the chests, players can receive cards ranging from common to legendary, gold coins used to purchase cards in a shop and upgrade them, and gems that can be used for other purchases. The better the chest, the better the loot. 

    Trophies that are obtained by winning matches allow the player to move up into higher-level arenas and face stronger enemies. Each arena comes with new cards to unlock that can spice up your deck and make it better. Consider viewing the Best Decks by Pocket Tactics that could help you move up the arenas.     Take part in different special events like two versus two modes and tournaments to win prizes. Join clans, meet other players, and participate in clan wars. Do you like playing cards, strategy, and something to pass the time? Clash Royale is the game for you.
