What is Crossy Road?

        Why did the chicken cross the road? Crossy Road is a mobile endless hopper arcade game available on iOS and Android devices. The game was created by the developers of Hipster Whale and released in 2014. 


What to expect: 

    Crossy Road is a game that the whole family can take turns playing. It is an endless hopper game meaning that your in-game character must keep moving forward to avoid losing. There is a big roster of characters and animals to choose from that have unique appearances and movements including mystery characters, and using Pocket Gamer's How To Unlock Guide, you can find out how. The goal of the game is to see how far you can go without failing. By tapping the screen, your character will move forward, and by swiping left, right, or down, it will move in those directions as well. Seems easy? Well, there is more. As you move forward, there are obstacles to avoid such as moving cars, trains, and rivers you must cross by jumping on moving logs that could take you down a rushing waterfall to your doom. If you wait too long to move forward, a hawk scoops and takes you away. It is up to quick reflexes and awareness to help you in this game. 

    While playing, there are yellow coins that appear that you can collect to spin a prize machine using 100 coins. The prize machine will spit out a box containing a random character to collect. Coins, characters, and game modes can be purchased in the menu shop. Two-player multiplayer is also offered for you to go against friends and family to see who will go the furthest.
