What is Plants vs. Zombies?

    Get off my lawn! Plants vs. Zombies is an action-strategy game available on iOS and Android devices. It was created by the developers of PopCap Games, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts (EA), and was originally released in 2009, with a second installment released in 2013 and third in 2024. 


What to expect:

    In Plants vs. Zombies, it is up to you to keep the undead off your lawn. The objective of the game is to defend your house from zombies through various levels using a variety of plants with unique abilities. To get the plants, you must collect sunlight which falls from the sky with each being worth 25 sunlight. Sunlight can also be obtained from planting sunflowers worth 50 sunlight to help produce more sunlight. Set up defenses by getting plants like peashooters that shoot peas, potatoes that explode like mines, walnuts that acts barriers, and cherries that create a massive explosion, all worth different amounts of sunlight. Completing levels unlocks new plants to add to the roster to make your defenses even stronger.

    Zombies approach your house in waves and you win by taking them all out. There are many different kinds of zombies to watch out for. There are zombies that wear armor giving them limited protection, use pogo sticks to jump over plants, wear football outfits and can run faster, and much more as the player gets into higher levels. The last line of defense against the zombies if your plants are destroyed are lawn mowers that will mow down all zombies in its path. If the zombies reach your house and make it inside, the level has been failed.
