What is Fruit Ninja?

    Sliced fruit coming right up! Fruit Ninja is a mobile arcade game available on iOS and Android devices. The game was created by the developers of Halfbrick Studios with the first installment being released in 2010 and the second, ten years later in 2020. 

What to expect:

    The name "Fruit Ninja" is exactly what the game is all about. You become a ninja who slices many kinds of fruits which is the main objective of the first Fruit Ninja game and this one. Using the tip of your fingers, you control the blade to slice the fruits by swiping across the screen. Fruits will be flying into view from the bottom of the screen where each one that you slice is worth one point. Slice multiple fruits at one time, and you can get combos worth even more points. Beware of flying bombs though, as slicing them will deduct ten points from your score. Keep an eye out for special bonus bananas that offer special powers such as a magnet that draws fruit to your blade, molten which causes a large amount of fruit to come up like a volcano eruption, and freeze which temporarily slows down the game speed. Once the timer runs out for the round, a pomegranate will pop up that you can rapidly slice to get a large bonus towards your score. New to the game?     Collect coins after each round of slicing fruit that can be used in the menu shop. In the shop, you can unlock powerups to help you and also new blades. Purple gems can be used to unlock boxes that contain powerups, blades, characters, and taunts, which are added to your armory. Tickets allow you to play special temporary events. Events become available once you rank up to level three. A season pass gives you more rewards by spending eight dollars for the regular pass or thirteen dollars for the premium pass. Coins, gems, and tickets can be purchased as in-game purchases in the shop. 
    If you are looking for competition, the league mode unlocked at level five puts you against players from around the world to earn rewards and trophies. Winning rounds gives you trophies that put you in a league based on how many you have. The more trophies you have, the higher ranks of opponents you will face. 

    Fruit Ninja is definitely a fun action game that if you played the first one, the second one is even better. So, grab your blade, slice fruit, and become a fruit ninja!
